Through years of church involvement and community volunteering, Kelly has spent countless hours helping neighbors — quietly, faithfully, and without looking for credit. That same spirit is what she'll bring to the commissioner's office.
Public Service Experience
Kelly has stayed involved in her community through both volunteer and elected roles. She served on a private school board, helping guide an independent institution's mission, governance, and stewardship of its own resources — no public funds were involved. She has also served as a precinct delegate, representing her neighbors in the local political process. That hands-on experience gives her a clear understanding of how organizations are governed and how local government can work better for the people it serves.
